Jonathan Jamill is a 19-year-old self-taught artist hailing from Southwest Houston, Texas. His unique upbringing exposed him to various economic and social backgrounds, which would eventually breathe life into his first solo exhibition, “The Basics”. Throughout the exhibition, Jamill will share his personal journey of seeking emotional enlightenment by combining bold colors with raw, shadow-like elements. With his work, he hopes to inspire others like him to seek refuge art and use creativity to liberate themselves from social constructs. Jamill is the very 1st to be featured in Sanman Studio’s Artist Residency Incubator.
