Creative Development of Young Artists
The SANMAN Academy Creative Development for Young Artist (“CDYA”) program is designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for young artists from the ages of 14-25 to express their creativity in various mediums. SANMAN recognizes that the passion to create art is often suppressed by the novice and lacks encouragement in the scholastic environment. The SANMAN Academy program creates a safe space for aspiring artists to learn, create, and collaborate with their peers and professional practitioners.
Local Artist encourage participants to identify animate or inanimate objects, concepts, experiences and/or persons in their environment to use as inspiration for the creative process. Facilitators will guide participants on how to use various mediums to express their individual interpretations. The SANMAN Academy program can be facilitated at SANMAN Studios or in a classroom setting.
Artists will have an opportunity to show their work for public viewing.
Sanman Production Sponsorship
As an extension of the CDYA, we facilitate a monthly production sponsorship initiative. The See A Need - Meet a Need Foundation will sponsor up to 8 hours of studio time towards a conceptual visual production project at Sanman Studios; all available Sanman Studios equipment and items will be included. Only individuals between the ages of 18 - 25 are allowed to apply to the program. (Personal identification is required). The SANMAN Academy production sponsorship will open on the first of each month and close on the 5th. The project must be scheduled the same month of the application and the final results must be submitted 30 days from the scheduled shoot date.
